TopCar made carbon tuning of Lamborghini Urus for $40 000

When you spend quite a lot and afford to buy such an Italian car exotic as Lamborghini Urus, probably you may want to somehow distinguish it from total. One of first tuners to realize this desire was TopCar, which developed total of 10 new carbon fiber components, including an aggressive three-part splitter in front bumper and set of 22-inch wheels.
The basis of new Lamborghini Urus 2018 lay modular platform MLB Evo with mounted on stretchers of high-strength steel double-lever suspension front, multi-link rear. There are also adaptive dampers, active rear differential, electromechanical stabilizer bar full ram chassis.
Brake mechanisms, of course, were also chosen to match temperament of new item. Mounted in front carbon-ceramic brakes with 440-millimeter discs and 10 – piston calipers, rear-with 370-millimeter discs and 6-piston calipers. Such mechanisms are sufficient distance of 33.7 meters to completely stop car, starting to brake at speed of 100 km/h.
The car is an exclusive model, which will be released in just 3,500 copies in one year. Because of its cost – this is most expensive car – to see it on simple roads will be almost impossible. price of new Lamborghini Urus in Russia is 15 200 000 rubles, although taking into account options price tag is easy to raise to twenty million. first car customers will receive approximately in spring-summer of 2018, with initial batch already sold out, so now orders are accepted for autumn.
When drawing appearance of Urus designers were inspired by legendary Lamborghini LM002 plus Lamborghini Countach. As result, output is hybrid of crossover and supercar with most aggressive and aerodynamically flawless outlines, embodying unrestrained nature of new item. front part is dominated by Y-shaped motifs, which can be traced in decor of giant air intakes, in architecture of front lighting. In similar style made taillights, complemented in middle of black panel with name of brand. Feed SUV looks just menacing due to abundance of sharp faceted forms and powerful composite bumper with pair of large double-barrel exhaust pipes, borrowed from racing cars of concern.
New Lamborghini Urus silhouette almost follows contours of sports coupe-low landing, large slope of windshield, sharply falling roof line, high window sill, modest area of side glazing, shortened overhangs of body. hexagonal arches of wheels of SUV are designed to accommodate record for segment of disks which are 21-23 inches, "shod" in low-profile rubber Pirelli P Zero.
In Lamborghini Urus’s new cabin there are fully electronic instrument panel and two touch screens on center console (top for multimedia system, bottom – for climate control), separated by number of analog buttons. Under lower screen there is block with engine start button, transmission control and selection of control electronics modes using Tamburo drum. Sports front seats are electrically adjustable in six directions (optional – nine), rear can be solid sofa and two separate seats with servos. Driver assistance system
For new items provided six modes of control electronics, traditionally for brand named all Italian words:
- Strada for road drive;
- Sport for speedlovers;
- Corsa for racing;
- Neve snow roads;
- Sabbia for sand;
- Terra for tough ground.
The last two are only available for versions with Offroad package. If we talk about help systems, of course, there are many, they are collected in special complex ADAS. This includes cruise control, automatic headlight switching, front and rear Parking sensors, panoramic view cameras, collision warning, flow assist.
For overclocking more than two-ton car (officially curb weight of car is 2200 kg) will be responsible 4.0-liter turbo V8, equipped with two superchargers Twin Scroll. At peak it gives power of 650 HP and 850 Nm. In conjunction with motor works 8-speed automatic ZF box, from which force through all-wheel drive system is transmitted to all four wheels. By default, thrust is distributed in ratio of 40: 60 in favor of rear axle, but if necessary, proportions change. Maximum forward can be directed 70% of torque, back – 87%. To accelerate from place to hundred crossover takes only 3.6 seconds, maximum speed is stated at around 305 kilometers per hour. From 0 to 200 km / h car accelerates in 12.8 seconds. Tuning Lamborghini Urus from TopCar in detail is as follows: new hood, front bumper and splitter, lining front and rear fenders, side skirts with wings, diffuser in rear bumper spoiler. All parts are made of carbon fiber. Soon to this set will add new exhaust tips.
For listed set of carbon fiber parts in TopCar ask little more than €35 000 (almost $40 000) and this does not include cost of installation in €4 150, set of wheels for individual €6 700 and sports tires for €2 800.
Another interesting aspect of project was camouflage textured finish of inner side of hood, made of Kevlar and carbon fiber. Recall under hood of Lamborghini Urus runs 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, developing 650 HP power and 850 Nm of torque, which allows super-crossover to do acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6-seconds and reach maximum speed of 305 km/h.
