Recently, McLaren Automotive has published a photo of the track supercar. According to official information, its world premiere should take place at the festival of speed in British Goodwood, at the end of June this year.
Most likely the new track "McLaren" will be a coupe 650S, which is mainly intended for the GT3 racing category. A little early development of the extreme version was confirmed by Chris Goodwin — the main test pilot of the British brand. On the teaser with the naked eye you can see the silhouette of the car, it is typical for models of the brand lights, made in the form of a boomerang, Pirelli tires and a fairly massive rear wing.
According to preliminary information, the new product will be made much easier than a civilian supercar, but the 3.8-liter twin-turbo "eight", which today is able to develop 650 horsepower and 678 Nm of torque, will be boosted. Here for example, the engine used for the McLaren P1 is capable of producing 737 forces.
The usual McLaren 650S was presented a little earlier, at the Geneva motor show, which took place in early March this year, in one of the main cities of Switzerland. This model is really impressive, mainly due to the fact that it is able to gain speed of 100 km per hour in three seconds. In order to reach a speed of 200 km per hour, it will take 8.4 seconds, but in order to achieve a value of 300 km per hour, the owner of this car will have to "press on the gas" for about 25.4 seconds. In today's automotive market, the new McLaren is available in two completely different variations: "coupe" and "convertible". In addition to external changes, quite a significant difference is observed in their technical characteristics.
